Misys Healthcare Systems, of Tucson, Ariz., and eRAd/ImageMedical, of Palo Alto, Calif., announced a strategic alliance to develop and deliver a fully integrated RIS-PACS solution marketed by Misys.

The comprehensive solution will provide hospitals and health networks with a single source for Misys RadiologyT information system with a fully integrated PACS all the way to the desktop. Initial release of this solution is expected during the third quarter of 2003.

"With this partnership, Misys provides two viable choices for RIS-PACS integration. The first.with eRAD/ImageMedical, is a fully integrated PACS-RIS solution from Misys. The second is for clients that prefer to integrate Misys Radiology with any new or existing third party PACS," says Andrew Lawson, chief operating officer, Misys Healthcare Systems.
